Ramdas Ashram, Bedlapur

NSASS arranged a pilgrimage cum picnic on 25th December, 2009, to Ramdas Ashram, Bedlapur. The purpose was to participate in the Ramayana Navaham conducted at the ashram.

In the morning at 9:00, we, the 23 participants, started from the temple. The Samiti had arranged a bus to ferry the participants. It was a 90 minutes enjoyable trip starting with on-the-fly breakfast, bhajan and saranamayyappa chantings…

The picturesque Ramdas ashram is a sprawling area situated in a remote place in Bedlapur. We enjoyed the spirituality, the scenic beauty and the sumptuous lunch.

While returning from the ashram with a spiritually enriched soul, relieved mind and heavy stomach, there was only one question in everybody’s mind –

when will be my the next visit to this holy place

to seek the blessings of Swamiji

to enjoy the hospitality of the disciples

to take bath in the immaculate river water

to breathe the unpolluted air

to see the innocent animals that freely roam around the ashram

to trek through the forest labyrinth whose both the sides are filled with communist pacha, oorpam, and all other plants, bushes and herbs that touch your nostalgic feelings…

to enjoy the natural beauty of this enchanting hamlet…

We were back to temple by 6:00 in the evening. Here are a few shots of the peerless moments.
